The course fee is payable in advance. Payment can be made via PayPal or by bank transfer one week before the term starts.
This structured course is aimed at those who love to learn oil painting and improve their observational skills under the guidance of professional artist and experienced tutor..
The course is suitable also for those who do not have any previous experience and are willing to try something new and unique.
Mostly we will paint still life and landscape from references.
Painting materials
Oil colours
Titanium or Zinc White (200ml tube), Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, Venetian Red or Oxide Transparent Red (W&N), Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson, Oxide of Chromium, Viridian, French Ultramarine, Winsor Blue, Raw Umber, Burned Umber.
Surfaces
Several artists’ canvases, canvas boards, the artist’s panels.
20×30,30×40, 40×50
Additionally it would be good to have an A4 oil pad.
Brushes
Hog filberts and flats from N2 to 16, N5-7 round acrylic brush for details.
Solvents
Sans odor or any low odour solvents, linseed oil. Please don’t bring turps or white spirit to the classroom.
2 jars with lid for washing your brashes during the class and the dipper
Palette
Rectangular or oval wooden or firm plastic palette no less than 35cm on the longer side.
Palette knife
- Metal with the wooden handle are the best N50, 51
- Kitchen towels, pieces of old cloths (t-shirts are good.washed, please) to clean the paint from the brushes
- Old shirt or apron to protect clothing.
- Drawing paper pad A4 or A3 size (for notes and some sketching), 2B pencils, eraser.
